This new model is a direct derivative of the very successful TX Series three-wheel. The TX4 Series deliveries will start in September 2008. COMMONALITYThe design of the truck is based on a maximum commonality concept. This allows customers to combine easily the three-wheel TX Series and new TX4 Series in a single fleet operation. These Nissan Forklift models offer the highest possible degree of commonality in, onboard systems, operator platform, masts and parts. This benefits operators and maintenance staff, while giving owners lower training and maintenance costs as well as that all important flexibility. The new TX4 Series will be available in 3 model versions 1.6 tonne, 1.8 tonne and 2.0 tonne. The wheelbase originates from the longest three-wheel TX Series version 1410 mm.Like on its sister truck, the TX4 Series is optionally available with aBattery Roll Out system which allows change of batteries safely and quickly. There is no need for complicated and less safe hoisting systems. LIFT AC TECHThe TX4s fully AC powered 48 volt system has been combined with Nissans AC TECH controller to provide high levels of performance and efficiency, with significantly lower lifetime operating costs. The controller constantly monitors and communicates the forklift status such as travel speed, state of battery charge and performance mode through a multifunction LCD display to the operator. A four-digit PIN code access system prevents unauthorised use of the truck and can be combined with pre-set parameters to match truck performance to the experience of the operator or to the needs of the load to be handled. Besides individual adjustment of various performance settings, it is also possible to pre-set up to five complete performance profiles to tailor the truck to meet the needs of individual operators and/or applications. LIFT COMFORTThe TX4 provides a wide step with ample legroom for easy access to a spacious cabin, while the adjustable suspension seat and the adjustable steering wheel allow each operator to select his ideal driving position.Standard hydraulic levers have been conveniently located immediately next to the seat, the pedal lay out is "passenger car type" to avoid confusion and Fuzzy Logic Control aids smooth acceleration to enable the operator to focus on the job in hand. Truck deceleration takes place automatically when the opposite travel direction is engaged or the foot is lifted from the accelerator pedal. The optional FINGERTIP uses electro-hydraulic control levers, making travel direction, horn and lift operations simple with just a slight tip of the finger. Combined with the ergonomic design and positioning of the armrest, the TX4 is a pleasure to drive. From the TX Series, the TX4 has inherited one of the market s highest available overhead guards (2.11 m) as standard, providing generous headroom for the operator, even when a helmet is required. For loading and unloading activities in tighter areas, an optional low overhead guard (1.98 m) is also available. There is also a Nissan-designed CLEARVISION cabin with a panoramic front view, and offering excellent all-around visibility. LIFT SAFETYThe four-wheel TX4 Series has been designed using Nissans Risk Reduction System. A Mast Lock system automatically prevents the forks of being lowered and the mast from being tilted when the operator has left the seat. The systems also acts automatically to restrict travel speeds and acceleration when the truck is turning, and to reduce lift speed when travelling. If the accelerator is released when the truck is on a gradient, an Anti Roll back device ensures that the truck can reverse only slowly, while the parking brake features a lock to prevent accidental release. Further safety features include warning buzzers for the parking brake and seat belt. LIFT EFFICIENCYObtaining optimum efficiency from the TX4 Series has been a combination of two essential factors, say Nissan. Good design to provide the operator with the greatest comfort and least fatigue from the moment he or she steps aboard, and the latest technology for safe, rapid performance and low energy consumptionFor maximum uptime, Nissan have applied various regenerative modes power is put back during standard operations such as changing travel direction, deceleration, and engaging foot brake. Further power saving has been achieved through its load-sensing hydraulic power steering system. Here, the pump is activated only when the steering sensor detects activity, greatly reducing battery power consumption and making the truck extremely quiet in operation.Auto power shut-off is yet another power saver, reducing battery consumption by shutting the truck down if not operated within a pre-determined period. The optional OPTIVIEW (3V) mast has f
