The company is currently constructing projects: Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant small reactor and unit 3 and 4 construction infrastructure engineering road lighting system. The Changjiang Nuclear Power Project adopts mature domestic second-generation improved nuclear power technology with reliable technical safety. The single unit capacity is 650,000 kilowatts, which is very suitable for the needs of Hainan power grid. According to preliminary calculations, if a nuclear power unit operates for 7,000 hours per year, compared with a coal power unit of the same capacity, it can reduce the burning of about 2.6 million tons of standard coal, about 7.8 million tons of carbon dioxide, about 450 tons of soot, about 1,600 tons of sulfur dioxide and about 9,700 tons of nitrogen oxides, with significant environmental benefits.
