Product introduction:
The planet carrier is the core component of the shearer’s planetary gear drive system.

Structure and composition:
The planet carrier is typically made of high-strength alloy steel, consisting of two annular side plates connected by evenly distributed struts (connecting plates) to form an integral frame structure. It is designed to withstand huge torque and loads. Additionally, the planet carrier is equipped with planet wheel shafts or bearings, as well as potential splines and other connecting components, to transmit and distribute power.

Function:
In the shearer, the planet carrier primarily serves to support and transmit power. It supports the rotation of the planetary gears and, through the meshing of the planet wheels with the sun wheel and the inner gear ring, transmits power to other working components of the shearer, such as the scraper conveyor, thereby driving the coal mining operation.
