As the new year begins, everything is renewed. Following the conclusion of the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, on-site inspectors from the East China Regional Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Station (hereinafter referred to as the East China Supervision Station) of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China have carried out comprehensive post-holiday nuclear safety supervision and inspection for work resumption with high standards, firm measures, and a solid work style. This effort aims to accelerate the post-holiday work resumption and safeguard the "lifeline" of nuclear safety.

In response to the concurrent operation and construction of units at the Ningde Nuclear Power Plant, the on-site inspectors of the East China Supervision Station meticulously prepared and conducted targeted supervision and inspections in accordance with laws and regulations. At the operational site, inspectors focused on key areas such as the status and rotation of personnel for units undergoing overhaul, risk prevention during the overhaul process, the operational status of units, and the handling of defects during the Spring Festival period. At the construction site, inspectors emphasized verifying post-holiday personnel attendance and work status, training for new and reassigned employees, on-site construction arrangements, and the implementation of safety and quality control measures. Simultaneously, on-site inspectors conducted verification and confirmation through on-site inspections, record reviews, and interviews to ensure the proper implementation of safety systems, effective prevention of risks and hazards, and proper management of work resumption.

Meanwhile, the East China Supervision Station adheres to the principle of balancing supervision with service and synchronizing inspection with guidance. On-site nuclear safety warning education and safety reminders for key positions were conducted to urge operating units and related entities to be vigilant against "post-holiday syndrome," such as employee relaxation and lack of management oversight. This aims to eliminate on-site safety hazards, strengthen the safety and responsibility awareness of all personnel, and ensure strict compliance with regulations during post-holiday work resumption.

Moving forward, the East China Supervision Station will uphold a constant sense of responsibility, adhere to the highest standards and strictest requirements to fortify the nuclear safety defense line, and fully ensure the safety of nuclear facility sites in the East China region.
