Wedoany.com Report on Mar 9th, According to preliminary statistics, Russia's total exports of metals and metal products in the 2025-2026 fiscal year amounted to 9.2 trillion rubles, an increase of 3.9% compared to the previous fiscal year, but did not surpass the historical peak level of 2023. Among these, ferrous metal exports performed outstandingly, reaching 4.7 trillion rubles, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%.
The structure of metal exports shows a trend towards diversification. Non-ferrous metal exports amounted to 1.6 trillion rubles, growing by 4.7%; exports of steel products and structures were 59.93 billion rubles, rising by 9.5%. Exports of metal products reached 22.82 billion rubles, an increase of 10.7%. Exports of metal scrap and recycled materials saw significant growth, reaching 7.96 billion rubles, a year-on-year increase of 1.4 times.
Exports in some categories declined. Pipe product exports were 26.89 billion rubles, a decrease of 22.8%; metalworking product exports were 22.41 billion rubles, down by 4.7%; metal powder exports were 6.39 billion rubles, falling by 4.2%; exports of metal coatings and surface treatments were 4.82 billion rubles, a slight decrease of 2%. Overall, Russia's metal exports maintained a growth trend in the 2025-2026 fiscal year, with ferrous metals being the main driving force.
