Wedoany.com Report on Mar 10th, NTPC Green Energy Limited announced that the remaining 91.6 MW capacity of its 250 MW solar photovoltaic project in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, India, has officially commenced commercial operation. This progress marks the full commissioning of the entire capacity of this solar project, adding new momentum to the local clean energy supply.

The solar project was developed by Ayana Kadapa Renewable Energy Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power. Ayana Renewable Power is wholly owned by ONGC NTPC Green, a joint venture established by NTPC Green Energy Limited and ONGC Green Limited. This collaboration model helps integrate resources and promote the efficient implementation of renewable energy projects.

Previously, the first phase of 158.4 MW capacity from this solar project began commercial operation in February of this year, providing stable clean power to the grid. The project operates under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement signed with the Solar Energy Corporation of India, with a fixed tariff of ₹2.71 per kilowatt-hour, ensuring long-term revenue and market stability.

With the successful commissioning of the remaining 91.6 MW capacity of the Kadapa solar project, NTPC Green Energy's total installed capacity has increased to 9,292.68 MW. The full operation of this solar project not only enhances the company's share of renewable energy but also supports India's ongoing development goals in the green energy sector, bringing positive impacts to the regional economy and environment.
