Wedoany.com Report on Mar 11th, Recently, Wu Yankun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Railway 16th Bureau Group (CR16G), held talks with Liu Weimin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC), in Beijing. They conducted in-depth exchanges on further deepening cooperation in overseas markets and reached important consensus. Wang Xiangdong, Vice President of CCECC (presiding over the management team), Sun Xiangchun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union, and Vice President Liu Dong from CCECC; and Zhu Yu, Vice President of CR16G, attended the talks.
Wu Yankun expressed gratitude for the long-term trust and support from CCECC. He briefly reviewed the history of cooperation between the two parties and introduced CR16G's production and operation, reform and development, and overseas business expansion. He stated that CCECC is a core partner for CR16G's overseas development. The two sides have maintained close cooperation over the long term, jointly delivering a number of landmark projects such as the Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway and the Macau Light Rail Transit, accumulating a solid foundation of mutual trust and deep friendship. CR16G possesses core technological advantages in five traditional sectors and has been actively deploying strategic emerging industries in recent years. It regards high-quality overseas development as a crucial strategic direction, continuously improving development quality and efficiency. In the future, CR16G will further leverage its own advantages, resources, and capabilities to deepen cooperation and enhance synergy with CCECC across multiple fields. It aims to deepen collaboration in regions with a strong existing foundation, jointly explore incremental opportunities in emerging overseas country markets, continuously expand cooperation areas through innovative models, promote the synergistic development of traditional overseas business and strategic emerging business, and create a comprehensive, mutually beneficial, and win-win situation.
Liu Weimin welcomed the visit of Wu Yankun and his delegation. He introduced CCECC's overseas business development layout, the planning approach for the "15th Five-Year Plan," and current development priorities, speaking highly of CR16G's comprehensive strength, professional capabilities, and the achievements of their cooperation. He stated that CCECC's overseas business spans major countries and regions along the Belt and Road Initiative. Currently, it is deepening institutional and mechanism reforms, optimizing its regional operational structure, strengthening the construction of overseas institutions, and striving to fully play the "leading goose" role for China Railway Construction Corporation's (CRCC) overseas business. CR16G holds significant advantages in areas such as urban rail transit and railway operations, which highly complement CCECC's strengths in global business expansion and localized operations. He expressed hope that both sides would establish a regular communication mechanism, focus on strengthening synergy in key countries and fields, enhance exchanges and cooperation in strategic emerging businesses and technological research and development, jointly seize overseas market opportunities, create a model of cooperation within the system, and collectively enhance the influence of CRCC's overseas brand. The Secretary of the Board of Directors and Head of the Business Development Center of CCECC, the Head of the Rail Transit Operation Company; and the Heads of the Overseas Business Department (Foreign Affairs Office) of CR16G, as well as the heads of its First Engineering Company, Metro Company, and Railway Transportation Company, attended the meeting.
