The reactor pressure vessel is the core equipment of a nuclear power plant, often referred to as the "heart" of nuclear power. The test verified the quality of pressure-bearing welds and the overall sealing integrity by monitoring parameters during the pressurization, pressure-holding, and depressurization phases, combined with non-destructive testing, ensuring its safe and reliable operation.

During implementation, the team established a dynamic management mechanism of daily tracking and weekly coordination, assigned senior equipment engineers for dedicated coordination with the general contractor, procurement, and design units, efficiently advanced document circulation, and effectively shortened approval cycles.

The successful completion of the hydrostatic test has laid the foundation for the on-time delivery of the equipment, marking the official countdown for the delivery of the main nuclear island equipment for Unit 2 of the Xudapu Nuclear Power Plant.
