Wedoany.com Report, On March 10th, the railway bridge spanning the Jushui River on the Hujiawan Jushui Super Major Bridge of the Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Rail, constructed by China Railway 18th Bureau Group, was successfully closed. This railway bridge, with a total length of 336 meters, is the longest railway bridge of the Jushui Super Major Bridge. Its closure has opened up the "critical bottleneck" for the girder erection project, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction.

The Hujiawan Jushui Super Major Bridge is located in Macheng City, Hubei Province, with a total length of 13.5 kilometers. It is one of the key and difficult projects along the entire Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Rail line. The recently closed railway bridge is designed with a "40+4×64+40-meter" span arrangement, consisting of 93 segments. It spans the Jushui River and runs parallel to the existing Hefei-Wuhan Railway. The minimum distance between the edge of the girder and the outermost guardrail of the operational line is only 24.6 meters, presenting significant construction challenges.

To ensure the smooth closure of the railway bridge, the project team strictly implemented refined management requirements, applying closed-loop management throughout the entire process for procedures such as raw material control, concrete mix ratio, pouring and vibration, and prestressing tensioning. During construction, technical personnel maintained on-site supervision throughout. Intelligent monitoring equipment was used to collect and analyze real-time data on girder deformation and temperature changes, ensuring a smooth closure alignment and structural stability. The project team established a trinity safety guarantee system comprising "human, physical, and technical defenses." They strictly enforced management systems for operations adjacent to the operational railway line and installed hard isolation fencing on the side close to the railway to safeguard the bridge construction.

The main line of the Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Rail is 360.5 kilometers long with a design speed of 350 km/h. It is an important component of the national "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed railway network's corridor along the Yangtze River. Upon completion and opening to traffic, it will significantly reduce travel time between Wuhan and Hefei, playing a crucial role in optimizing the layout of the railway bridge network within the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
