Shengxin Lithium Energy Secures Mining Rights for Asia's Largest Lithium Mine, 300 Million Ton/Year Project Set to Commence Construction

Wedoany.com Report, On March 17, Shengxin Lithium Energy Group Co., Ltd. disclosed that the pre-construction preparations for its Murong Lithium Mine located in Yajiang County, Sichuan Province, China, have been largely completed, with large-scale construction set to begin soon. The project is designed with a production capacity of 3 million tons per year.

The Murong Lithium Mine is held by Yajiang County Huirong Mining Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shengxin Lithium Energy, and is situated in the renowned Jiajika Lithium-Beryllium Mining Area. The mining license issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources in October 2024 shows that the mine has a cumulative identified ore resource of approximately 61.095 million tons, with lithium oxide resources reaching 989,600 tons and an average grade of 1.62%. It is recognized as the largest proven hard rock single lithium mine in Asia to date.

Shengxin Lithium Energy disclosed that the project has obtained the project approval from the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the land pre-examination and site selection opinion from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Natural Resources, the environmental impact assessment report approval from the Sichuan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, and the mine safety facility design has also passed the review organized by the National Mine Safety Administration. Upon completion, the project will significantly increase the company's self-sufficiency rate of lithium ore resources, providing stable raw material supply for its downstream lithium salt production capacity.
