Another significant route connects Phoenix with Kahului Airport (OGG) on Maui, covering about 2,845 miles (4,578 kilometers), also operating 273 flights annually in each direction. Las Vegas, as a key hub for Southwest Airlines, has also launched several long-haul Boeing 737 MAX 8 routes to Hawaii. Among them, the Las Vegas to Honolulu route is the busiest, with 701 flights annually in each direction, utilizing over 338 million ASMs. Other routes include services to Lihue Airport (LIH) on Kauai, Kona International Airport (KOA) on the Big Island of Hawaii, and Kahului Airport (OGG) on Maui, with distances ranging from 2,695 to 2,818 miles and a total of over 500 flights annually.
