en.Wedoany.com Report, Walldorf, Germany, and Redwood City, California, USA, March 27, 2026 – SAP SE and Reltio Inc. announced that SAP has agreed to acquire master data management software provider Reltio, aiming to help customers make both SAP and non-SAP enterprise data AI-ready. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

This acquisition will enhance the SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP BDC), accelerating its evolution into a fully interoperable enterprise data platform to support enterprise-wide agentic AI. Upon completion, customers will gain tools to unify, cleanse, and reconcile data across sources, improving AI data readiness.

“Reltio is a natural fit for SAP,” said Muhammad Alam, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE and Head of SAP Product & Engineering. “Acquiring Reltio will solidify our position as a business AI provider, combining SAP and non-SAP data to provide the necessary data context for AI applications. AI struggles to reach its potential when data is fragmented and lacks connectivity.”

Reltio's platform, built cloud-native and AI-first, helps organizations manage and govern structured and unstructured enterprise data to form a reliable "golden record" system. This supports a single, consistent view across SAP and non-SAP applications, enhancing AI data reliability and consistency.

“Joining forces with SAP presents a tremendous opportunity to accelerate our mission,” said Manish Sood, Founder and CEO of Reltio. “Enterprise AI requires trusted context. This combination will enhance our ability to deliver contextual systems in heterogeneous IT environments while maintaining continuity for customers and partner ecosystems.”

Reltio's data cleansing and unification capabilities will work synergistically with the SAP Business Suite to improve decision-making, reduce integration complexity, and provide reliable data. Low-latency delivery and support for model context protocols enable real-time, multi-agent workflows across environments, such as evaluating supplier risk using trusted data.

Post-acquisition, Reltio will become a core capability of SAP BDC, offered under a flexible business model where customers can purchase it standalone or bundled with other SAP products. The Reltio portfolio will continue to be offered as a standalone product for the foreseeable future. The transaction is expected to close in the second or third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
