en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 30th, Stena RoRo has taken delivery of the 13th vessel in its E-Flexer series of RoPax ferries from China Merchants Industry (CMI) shipyard in Weihai, China. Named Capu Rossu, the vessel has been handed over to the operator Corsica Linea and is scheduled to commence commercial service in mid-June, operating between Marseille, France, and Corsica.

The E-Flexer series of RoPax ferries features a larger and more flexible structure than standard designs, with each vessel customized according to the specific technical and commercial requirements of the operator. Stena notes that the series boasts features such as a highly optimized hull form, multi-fuel engines, and battery power class notation, making them among the more economical vessels in terms of design and construction.

Since 2016, Stena RoRo has collaborated with Chinese shipyards, securing 19 orders to date, including 15 E-Flexer RoPax ferries, 2 NewMax RoRo vessels, and 2 C-Flexer RoRo vessels. This latest delivery further strengthens the partnership between the two parties in the field of RoPax ferry construction.
