en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 30th, Recently, the main structure of Guangshang Tower, located in the Pazhou CBD of Haizhu District, Guangzhou City, has been fully topped out. The installation of the all-LOW-E glass curtain wall is 98% complete, entering the final finishing stage. It is expected to be fully completed in April 2026. As the tallest all-steel skyscraper under construction in Asia, Guangshang Tower reaches a height of 375.5 meters, with 61 floors above ground and 5 floors underground. Its total floor area is 199,300 square meters, built on a site area of only 6,909 square meters.

In terms of structural design, this skyscraper adopts an offset core tube structure, with the core tube deviating 23 meters from the building's center. It relies on eight mega steel columns for load-bearing, forming a "mega frame-steel bracing + eccentric bracing" structural system capable of resisting typhoons of up to Category 17 and earthquakes of intensity 8. The building's base transfers the upper structure load through eight corner mega inclined columns and steel trusses, creating a column-free entrance space measuring 42 meters by 44 meters and 22 meters high. The project's total steel consumption reaches 50,000 tons. The all-steel structural system reduces concrete usage by over 60,000 tons, and the profiled steel sheet construction method replaces traditional wooden formwork support, reducing timber usage by 80%.

Guangshang Tower is led by the Guangzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce and jointly funded by 18 member enterprises. It is positioned as the headquarters base for Guangzhou's private economy. As a benchmark project for all-steel skyscrapers in Asia, the project includes functional sections such as an International Exchange Center, Product Exhibition Center, Chamber of Commerce Training Center, International Chamber of Commerce Cluster Center, and International Economic Service Center. It is also equipped with facilities like a multifunctional conference hall accommodating 1,000 people and a 12,000-square-meter immersive exhibition hall. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026. Upon completion, it will form the Pazhou CBD skyline together with the Canton Tower and the Star River Bay Tower.
