en.Wedoany.com Reported - On April 22, 2026, Phenom Resources Corp. announced the receipt of a comprehensive technical report evaluating its King Solomon Gold Project located in central Nevada, USA. Consulting geologist Dr. Mike Ressel completed mapping work from the summer of 2025 and compiled historical geological, geophysical, and geochemical data. The project covers 16.1 square kilometers and exhibits characteristics of both Carlin-type gold-silver-antimony and epithermal volcanic-hosted mineralization systems.
The King Solomon Project shows extensive evidence of hydrothermal alteration and gold mineralization, including elevated levels of gold, silver, arsenic, antimony, and mercury. Geophysical data supports the interpretation of intrusive domes and carbonate host rocks, such as the Pogonip Limestone and Roberts Mountains Formation, which are considered potential carriers for disseminated Carlin-type gold mineralization. Newly identified gold-bearing, multi-component breccia zones associated with large dikes have been recognized.
Dave Mathewson, known for successful gold discoveries, stated, "The potential for a significant Carlin-type gold discovery at King Solomon is excellent. Previous explorers do not appear to have fully understood the full extent or significance of the stratigraphy or the gold model. Typical of early 1990s explorers, drilling was largely confined to shallow tests of 90 to 122 meters in depth and focused primarily on potential within the overlying Tertiary volcanics. The significant near-surface gold intercepts in the Tertiary volcanics, while notable, hint at greater potential within the underlying, more favorable Paleozoic carbonate package. Early drillers barely penetrated the more prospective rock units, only scratching the surface of this prospect. The carbonate sequence I have identified beneath the King Solomon volcanics includes favorable Devonian down to Ordovician gold host formations like the Denay, Rabbit Hill, Roberts Mountain, and Pogonip Limestone formations, with a total thickness well over 1000 feet. These rock units represent a very significant potential gold deposit host package that has seen little drilling here."
Through Dr. Ressel's work, priority areas have been identified for detailed summer evaluation and drill target development. Historical drilling includes 103 shallow holes, with 9 out of 11 holes ending in mineralization. Dave Mathewson continued, "Drilling to date has confirmed Carlin-replacement style mineralization, intercepting near-ideal gold grades. The presence of favorable host rocks, Carlin-style epithermal alteration, and geochemical signatures showing very high arsenic, antimony, mercury, and locally gold, all point to the prospectivity for a gold deposit. I am strongly inclined to believe that one or more gold deposits exist in this area."
The primary target metal for the King Solomon Project is gold, while the project also has a history of high-grade antimony and silver production. Antimony, being a critical metal for the USA, its association could aid in the project's permitting process. Historical samples show antimony grades as high as 38.86% and silver grades up to 55.16 ounces per ton. Located in a favorable geological setting, the company hopes to conduct drilling under new policies this year to further evaluate this gold project.
