en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 1, the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (hereinafter referred to as the "Nuclear Safety Center"), CGN Digital Technology, and HollySys held a seminar on technical achievements in nuclear power instrumentation and control (I&C) systems and jointly signed the "Cooperation Framework Agreement on Technical Research of Nuclear Power I&C Systems."

This cooperation closely aligns with the national energy security strategy, focusing on building a unified standard system for nuclear power I&C systems. It involves tackling key technologies and conducting forward-looking research, covering six major areas: analysis of applicable standards for domestically produced I&C systems, reliability application of nuclear power plant equipment, research and safety assessment of domestically produced software tools, research and safety assessment of key intelligent technologies for industrial control systems, key technologies for I&C system cybersecurity, and capacity building for technical support of I&C cybersecurity laboratories.

The Nuclear Safety Center put forward three requirements. First, take pragmatic measures to promote high-level safety and high-quality development of the industry. CGN Digital Technology and HollySys have made outstanding contributions to the independent development of China's nuclear power I&C systems, achieving numerous pioneering results in areas such as nuclear-grade DCS research and engineering applications. As the technical support unit of the National Nuclear Safety Administration, the Nuclear Safety Center has accumulated extensive experience in the regulation of I&C systems. The three parties should adhere to the principle of complementary advantages, carry out in-depth and efficient technical research cooperation, and promote the independent, controllable, safe, and reliable development of nuclear power I&C systems. Second, adopt a collaborative approach of addressing common challenges and working in the same direction to properly respond to new situations and challenges. China's nuclear power development has entered a new phase characterized by large-scale construction, batch application, and rapid technological iteration. The fast iteration speed of I&C systems imposes higher requirements on design, manufacturing, verification, operation, and regulation. Currently, issues such as an incomplete standard system still exist in China's nuclear power I&C field, requiring joint efforts from the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain to address them collaboratively. Third, promote research results to serve industry development and support the modernization of the regulatory system and regulatory capacity. This cooperation connects regulatory needs, engineering practices, and technological innovation, laying a solid foundation for high-quality outcomes. Going forward, the resulting standard recommendations, evaluation methods, verification schemes, data achievements, and experimental capabilities should be applied to review and regulation, standard improvement, and industry technological progress, forming a virtuous cycle where regulatory needs drive technical research, technical research supports engineering applications, and engineering applications feed back into regulatory improvement.

This cooperation deepens technical synergy and innovation exchange, jointly advancing the technical verification, standard adaptation, and review support of domestically produced equipment.
