Internal building services and structural engineering work are currently underway at the construction site. Production of Lokotrack tracked crushing and screening equipment is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2027 at the new factory in Lahdesjärvi. The investment in the first phase is approximately €150 million, with about €70 million spent as of the end of April 2026. Metso's current Lokomo base for aggregates operations in Hatanpää, Tampere, will gradually relocate to the new technology center. After the relocation, the company plans to sell its owned Hatanpää site and buildings.
