Tencent Cloud and Soniox announce strategic partnership to empower global multilingual voice AI applications

In enterprise-level voice AI deployment, latency directly impacts user experience and application reliability. After integrating Soniox's high-accuracy, low-latency speech-to-text technology with Tencent Cloud's real-time communication global transmission infrastructure, the latency of the entire pipeline is further reduced, providing an end-to-end solution for enterprises deploying conversational AI applications globally.

Soniox's voice platform supports over 60 languages with native-level accuracy. The technology can handle language switching within sentences, allowing users to switch between English and Chinese in a single utterance, with the system accurately capturing every word. This is all achieved through a unified API that supports both speech-to-text and text-to-speech.

The integrated real-time communication backbone network features over 3,200 global nodes, with global latency below 300 milliseconds, and advanced capabilities such as AI noise suppression and weak network adaptation. These capabilities enable conversational AI applications to operate reliably in diverse network environments, including Southeast Asia and Africa.

Developers can directly integrate the Soniox speech-to-text API within the Tencent Cloud console to build voice applications targeting the English market or supporting languages such as Arabic, Hindi, and Malay, including intelligent customer service, voice assistants, real-time translation, and meeting transcription, to meet the demands of expansion into emerging markets and multilingual scenarios.

Wison Xie, Head of Tencent Cloud Real-Time Communication Products, stated that Tencent Cloud Real-Time Communication has always been committed to providing reliable real-time communication infrastructure for global enterprises. The partnership with Soniox combines enterprise-level audio transmission advantages with advanced speech recognition technology, helping enterprises more easily deploy accurate, low-latency voice AI applications in any language and any market.

Klemen Simonic, CEO of Soniox, said that Soniox's mission is to help enterprises understand every word in every language with native-level accuracy and exceptional speed. The collaboration with Tencent Cloud combines voice AI with world-class real-time infrastructure, enabling enterprises to build globally scalable voice AI experiences.
