en.Wedoany.com Reported - Nordex Group has secured a new order for 39 wind turbines, including 19 N163/6.X, 11 N175/6.X, and 9 N149 models, all contracts include service and maintenance agreements.

One of the orders comes from a 35 MW project at the Rheine-Catenhorn community wind farm in North Rhine-Westphalia. Nordex will supply and install five N163/6.X turbines with a hub height of 164 meters for this project, secured in collaboration with project developer BBWind.

The wind farm will be implemented under the community wind project model, highlighting the growing importance of local participation models for Germany's wind power expansion. This model enables municipalities and local residents to directly share in the wind farm's revenues while benefiting from modern, efficient turbine technology.

Karsten Brüggemann, Vice President for Central Europe at Nordex Group, stated that community wind farms play a central role in Germany's energy transition, combining economic benefits with local acceptance, allowing surrounding communities to directly participate in the energy transition. He expressed great pleasure in collaborating with BBWind on projects in this field to drive wind power expansion. Michael Schlüß, Managing Director of BBWind, added that as an expert in community wind projects, Nordex is an important and experienced partner within the manufacturer's network.

Since 2014, Nordex and BBWind have maintained cooperation in North Rhine-Westphalia. The two companies have now connected 26 Nordex turbines from the Delta and Delta4000 series to the grid, with a total installed capacity exceeding 100 MW. In recent months, Nordex Group has also secured a 78 MW order from BBWind, specifically for community wind farms in the state.

The names of other customers and wind farms have not been disclosed. Construction and commissioning of all wind power projects are scheduled between summer 2027 and spring 2028.
