en.Wedoany.com Reported - Italian product tanker operator d'Amico International Shipping S.A. (DIS) has sold its oldest vessel through its operating subsidiary d'Amico Tankers d.a.c. (Ireland) for a total transaction value of $28.5 million.

The vessel sold is the 51,768 DWT MR product tanker "High Tide," built in 2012 by Hyundai Mipo in South Korea, and is expected to be delivered to the new buyer in November 2026.

d'Amico Tankers stated that this vessel is the oldest and last non-eco ship in its fleet. After the sale, net of commissions, the company is expected to generate approximately $28 million in cash proceeds.

Currently, DIS's fleet consists of 28 double-hull product tankers (including MR, Handy, and LR1 types, of which 27 are owned and 2 are bareboat chartered), with an average age of approximately 9.8 years.

Carlos di Mottola, CEO of d'Amico International Shipping, said: "I am pleased to announce the sale of the 'High Tide,' the oldest and last non-eco vessel in our fleet. The sale price is highly attractive relative to historical averages, reflecting the current strong momentum and sound fundamentals of the product tanker market." He added: "Following this transaction, DIS's fleet will be fully 'eco,' further enhancing our commercial competitiveness while reducing our environmental footprint."
