en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ecowende's onshore service base at the Port of IJmuiden in the Netherlands has been officially handed over to support the operation of the Hollandse Kust West VI offshore wind farm. With an installed capacity of 760 MW, the first Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbine has been installed, and the project is progressing as planned toward full commercial operation by the end of 2026.

Located at the Port of IJmuiden, approximately 53 kilometers from the offshore wind farm, the base will serve as a permanent O&M hub for the Ecowende team, Vestas, and Eneco Offshore Wind Operations (EWOO). It will coordinate daily operations and maintenance, vessel dispatch, spare parts logistics, and performance monitoring of the 52 turbines on site.

With the delivery of the O&M base, the project has officially transitioned to the operational phase. Ecowende stated that the base will ensure safe, efficient, and nature-friendly operation of the wind farm for decades to come. All foundations and cables at the site have now been installed.

Once operational, the project is expected to meet approximately 3% of the Netherlands' current electricity demand.
