en.Wedoany.com Reported - Profstal (Профсталь), a Russian company specializing in the manufacture of houses using light-gauge steel structures (ЛСТК), faces dual tasks in the fields of architectural design and mechanical engineering, requiring the creation of 3D models of buildings and parts for repairing production equipment within the same system. To address these extensive design needs, the company ultimately selected nanoCAD Механика Pro software, as reported by representatives of Нанософт to CNews.
As a pilot project, the development of "Modern Energy-Efficient ЛСТК Houses" demonstrated that this solution integrates well into a full-cycle digital ecosystem. The outcome of this pilot project was the integration of 3D model creation for additive manufacturing, design of building structures (ЛСТК), automatic generation of specifications, and automation of document flow through integration with the 1С:ERP system, all on a single platform.
When manufacturing products on a 3D printer, models are imported from nanoCAD Механика Pro in STEP format, then loaded via a 3D Slicer program for 3D printing. The equipment used in production requires maintenance and improvement, and during the process of creating and printing 3D models, the placement of replacement or new parts in the equipment can be quickly tested. Test design of such products using nanoCAD Механика Pro has shown good results, and plans are in place to actively expand the variety of printed prototypes in the future.
The project team's work began by supplementing the library of standard ЛСТК profiles and typical connections in the nanoCAD environment, followed by the development of a design 3D model of the building in nanoCAD Механика Pro. Specifications and material lists were automatically generated based on the 3D model data, eliminating the need for manual calculations. Subsequently, the project achieved automation of document flow with the 1C:ERP system: data generated in nanoCAD Механика Pro was exported to a database and then imported into the 1C:ERP accounting system, automatically creating a package of documents such as commercial quotes, cost plans (materials and labor), internal and external production orders, and warehouse movement orders. These documents were then posted in the 1C accounting system to complete business operations.
Maria Tkachenko (Мария Ткаченко), head of the Industrial and Civil Construction Department at Profstal (АО «Профсталь»), stated that comprehensive testing of the nanoCAD Механика Pro software demonstrated the solution's advantages, from a reliable tool for creating 3D printing models to optimizing interdepartmental collaboration through a unified database, enabling the formation of a full-cycle ecosystem from the initial project stage to completion.
