en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 15, 2026, the kick-off meeting for the compilation of the national occupational standard for "Assembly and Commissioning Workers of Filtration and Separation Machinery" was held in Beijing, China. The meeting was hosted by the Machinery Industry Talent Evaluation Center of the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and co-organized by the China General Machinery Industry Association (CGMIA). Li Qi, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee, Vice President of CMIF, and Director of the Machinery Industry Talent Evaluation Center, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

The China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), established in 2001, is a comprehensive industry association voluntarily formed by national industry associations, societies, research institutes, and key enterprises and institutions in the machinery industry during China's industrial management system reform. It currently has over 270 direct member units and more than 10,000 indirect member units, making it one of the most influential industry organizations in China's machinery sector. The Machinery Industry Talent Evaluation Center, a direct affiliate of CMIF, is responsible for vocational capacity building and skilled talent evaluation in the machinery industry. The China General Machinery Industry Association (CGMIA) is a national industry organization for China's general machinery sector, with a Separation Machinery Branch under it that provides industry services in the field of filtration and separation machinery.

Other attendees at the meeting included Sun Fang, Vice President and Secretary-General of CGMIA; Zhang Shaohua, Deputy Director of the Occupational Classification and Standard Development Division of the China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center; and over 30 expert representatives from key enterprises and industry associations in the filtration and separation machinery sector, including Jingjin Equipment Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Saideli Pharmaceutical Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Chongqing Jiangbei Machinery Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Larox Filtration Technology Co., Ltd., Nuclear Industry Yantai Tongxing Industrial Group Co., Ltd., and the Xinxiang Filtration and Separation Industry Association.

In his speech, Li Qi pointed out that the machinery industry is a foundational and strategic industry for national economic development. As key products in the general machinery sector, filtration and separation machinery are indispensable critical equipment for key national economic fields such as petroleum, chemicals, environmental protection, pharmaceuticals, food, and mining. Assembly and commissioning, as key processes ensuring the performance and reliability of complete separation machines, directly impact the safe operation of equipment and the core competitiveness of the industry. He emphasized that the compilation of the national occupational standard should adhere to scientific, practical, and forward-looking principles, highlighting professionalism, operability, and leadership, to provide solid skilled talent support for the high-quality development of the industry.

Representatives of the drafting team introduced the preliminary occupational survey process and results, as well as the design concept for the initial draft of the standard framework. Deputy Director Zhang Shaohua from the Standards Division of the China Employment Training Technical Instruction Center gave a special lecture on the "Technical Regulations for Compiling National Occupational Standards." Attending experts discussed key topics such as machine type selection, occupational functions, main work tasks, and grade classification, ultimately finalizing the overall structure of the standard, as well as the division of compilation responsibilities and schedule. The meeting clarified that the first draft of the standard must be completed by July 31, 2026; the sections on filter presses (filters) and centrifuges (separators) will be compiled by CGMIA, while the section on filters will be compiled by the Xinxiang Filtration and Separation Industry Association.

The initiation of this national occupational standard compilation is of positive significance for improving the skilled talent evaluation system in the filtration and separation machinery industry and promoting its high-quality development.
