en.Wedoany.com Reported - Megazone, the parent company of Megazone Cloud (CEO: Yeom Dong-hoon), announced on the 19th that it has signed a business agreement (MOU) on robot education and technical cooperation with Taiwanese collaborative robot company Techman Robot Inc.

The signing ceremony was held at the Megazone Industry-Academia-Research Center in Gwacheon, attended by Megazone Chairman Lee Ju-wan, Vice President Lee Jae-seok, Techman Robot representative Haw Chen, and key personnel from both sides.

According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly operate a practice-oriented education program based on Techman Robot's collaborative robots. Additionally, they plan to expand cooperation opportunities for building Physical AI and humanoid robot ecosystems in the South Korean market, and support the realization of AI-based robot automation.

The core of the cooperation lies in integrating Megazone's Physical AI platform "WISE" (Work Intelligent for Spatial Execution) with Techman Robot's collaborative robot technology. WISE is a platform for generating and training robot actions. Before a robot performs actual work, actions such as extending an arm, grasping, and moving objects must be designed according to the task's purpose. WISE supports creating these actions from scratch or modifying parameters like speed, path, and joint angles of existing actions, optimizing them into task-adapted actions through AI learning.

Based on this platform, operation programs for various robots, including robotic arms, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and humanoid robots, can be efficiently developed and deployed. Megazone plans to use WISE as a foundation to expand the application base of Physical AI that connects robot, space, and work data.

The two parties will officially begin cooperation starting in July this year, focusing on educational collaboration. Megazone will provide the operational environment through its education center, while Techman Robot will be responsible for collaborative robot equipment and technical support.

In the future, the scope of cooperation will also expand to basic technology areas required for Physical AI, such as automation process development and process data accumulation. Both parties will accumulate action data and operational experience needed for robots to perform actual work in industrial settings, driving AI-based automation upgrades.

Megazone Vice President Lee Jae-seok stated that robot technology is evolving from the digital transformation of entire industries, including manufacturing, into a core technology for realizing autonomy and intelligence based on Physical AI. The company will combine the WISE solution with Techman Robot's collaborative robot technology to cultivate practical talent that can be directly deployed in industrial sites.

Techman Robot Korea Branch Manager Yoon Shin-young said that this agreement is significant as it allows the company's robot products to be applied in more educational settings. He added that they will work with Megazone to expand robot technology education and industrial application cases, creating more cooperation opportunities.
