First Substation Installed at CVOW

Wedoany.com Report-Mar 14, The first of three offshore substations for the 2600MW Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project is officially in place.
In November 2024 Dominion Energy confirmed that the offshore substation foundations and were installed during the first installation season.
The 2.6GW offshore wind farm is being built 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach.
In the coming months turbine installation is expected to start at the project.
