en.Wedoany.com Reported - The NEU: ACI Center of Excellence for Carbon Neutral Concrete, under the American Concrete Institute, and the Resilience Action Fund (RAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on advancing resilient building practices aimed at extending the lifespan of buildings, including concrete structures, or increasing the use of concrete in new and existing built environments.

Under the memorandum, NEU and RAF staff will work on developing and implementing mutually acceptable procedures or guidelines aligned with their intent. The parties will identify opportunities in the construction industry that meet the resilience practice principles and economic requirements of the International Finance Corporation and other relevant organizations. Additionally, NEU and RAF will expand domestic and international information dissemination to raise awareness of the resilience and sustainability of concrete structures.
"NEU and its staff are entrusted with the responsibility of helping the American Concrete Institute advance its strategic goals in resilience and sustainability," said Executive Director Kerry Sutton.
