en.Wedoany.com Reported - During the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with a delegation led by Wang Bo, Chairman of China CAMCE Engineering Co., Ltd. (CAMCE). The two sides held discussions on multi-dimensional cooperation directions for sustainable infrastructure, focusing on implementing projects in areas such as waste-to-energy and ecological water management, and leveraging the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to scale up bilateral energy infrastructure cooperation.

CAMCE is a core subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) and a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor in China. It has been deeply involved in overseas sustainable infrastructure for many years, possessing full-chain capabilities in waste-to-energy, water environment management, and EPC general contracting. Uzbekistan is accelerating the low-carbon transformation of its entire infrastructure, with waste resource utilization, water conservation, and clean energy infrastructure being key areas of support. However, the country faces relative deficiencies in local engineering technology and investment and financing capabilities, relying heavily on the technology, capital, and project management experience of overseas engineering enterprises.

This cooperation is closely aligned with Uzbekistan's national sustainable development agenda, aiming to attract foreign investment to empower strategic industries for quality improvement. Currently, many Central Asian countries have liberalized their PPP access mechanisms for infrastructure, relaxing restrictions on foreign participation in public projects and leveraging foreign capital and technology to address gaps in livelihood and ecological infrastructure. The China-Uzbekistan strategic partnership is steadily advancing, with continuous optimization of the business environment for cross-border infrastructure project approval and implementation.

Uzbekistan is precisely aligning with CAMCE's technological and financial advantages to implement resource-based energy projects, reduce municipal operation and maintenance costs, and leverage state-owned enterprises to empower ecological governance and water resource allocation. Through this cooperation, CAMCE has further strengthened its business presence in green projects in Central Asia, expanding profit channels for overseas projects through the PPP model. Following the talks, the two sides reached a consensus to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and consolidate the bilateral strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan.
