en.Wedoany.com Reported - CoreWeave has signed a colocation agreement with Swedish data center operator Conapto to establish two new campuses in Stockholm, providing additional immediate AI cloud capacity for the European market and expanding its AI cloud service capabilities.
Initial capacity has already been deployed at the Stockholm 4 South facility, marking progress in regional data processing capabilities. This partnership enables AI developers to access the CoreWeave Cloud platform, which is purpose-built for modern AI workloads, integrating high-performance computing, networking, storage, and software orchestration to support rapid scaling of enterprise applications.
This expansion aims to meet the demand from European technology companies for infrastructure capable of handling intensive workloads without latency or availability constraints. As AI models transition from experimental stages to full commercial production, facility operators need to provide resilient environments that can support intensive processing tasks. CoreWeave addresses this need by deploying the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture and the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform. These computing systems are connected via NVIDIA Quantum-X800 InfiniBand to ensure the throughput required for large-scale enterprise operations. High-density server infrastructure generates significant heat, requiring advanced cooling protocols and robust power supplies to prevent hardware throttling. Through its partnership with Conapto, CoreWeave gains the physical environment and redundant systems necessary to sustain continuous operation of high-power clusters.
"Sweden has been central to CoreWeave's European strategy since our first investment in the region," said Sachin Jain, Chief Operating Officer of CoreWeave. "Conapto's local expertise and sustainable energy profile allow us to deliver what our customers need: urgent, high-performance AI computing with the reliability and environmental credentials required for enterprise AI deployments."
The Stockholm campuses operate entirely on renewable energy, aligning with Europe's broad requirements for green technology adoption. The mechanical systems implemented by Conapto redirect heat generated by computing clusters, capturing thermal energy and feeding it into municipal infrastructure rather than releasing it as waste.
"We are delighted to partner with CoreWeave to support the rapidly growing demand for its AI cloud platform," said Håkan Björklund, CEO of Conapto. "CoreWeave is at the forefront of AI innovation, and we are proud to provide the resilient, high-density infrastructure needed to underpin its next phase of growth. Combined with our commitment to 100% renewable energy and heat recovery to the Stockholm district heating network, this partnership demonstrates how advanced AI infrastructure and sustainability can go hand in hand."
The agreement with Conapto brings CoreWeave's operational locations in Europe to eight. This is part of a broader global footprint, with the company operating 49 data centers worldwide as of March 31, 2026. Within this portfolio, the company manages over 1 gigawatt of active power and has over 3.5 gigawatts of contracted power to support large-scale complex workloads. This physical infrastructure underpins the company's service to nine of the top ten foundation model providers. CoreWeave validates its facility performance through independent testing, achieving record-breaking MLPerf benchmark results and maintaining a Platinum ranking in SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX 1.0 and 2.0. Independent inference benchmarks conducted by Artificial Analysis also ranked the company first in both inference speed and cost-effectiveness for Moonshot AI's Kimi K2.6.
