Wedoany.com Report-Apr 5,The country has received advanced approval for a significant renewable energy project in the United States. The Country Acres Project, located near Sacramento, California, is set to become a major player in the region's clean energy landscape. The project, which includes 403 MW of solar power and 688 MWh of energy storage capacity, is supported by $773 million in debt financing. This funding has been secured through a collaboration between Clenera Holdings LLC and a consortium of four global banks, including BNP Paribas Securities, Crédit Agricole, Natixis, and Nord/LB.

The financing package includes a $376 million term loan that will convert from a construction loan to a long-term debt facility once commercial operations begin. The project is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power approximately 80,000 Californian households annually. Commerical operations are anticipated to kick off in the latter half of 2026, with construction already underway at the 966-acre site.

President and CEO of Clenera, Adam Pishl, expressed gratitude for working with leading banks on this major project. He emphasized that the clean energy produced at Country Acres will provide reliable power for decades to future generations in central California.

Enlight and Clenera are among several major renewable energy projects being developed in the U.S., including Quail Ranch and Roadrunner. Ilan Goren, Enlight USA’s general manager, noted that the Country Acres project represents the second financial closing with the same group of lenders in the past three months, highlighting the depth of their partnership. He looked forward to further strengthening this collaboration as the company continues to expand its US portfolio.

The next steps for Enlightenment include the Snowflake and CO Bar projects, both with a grid connection capacity of 1 GW, one of the largest in the U.S. These projects are nearly complete and are expected to begin construction in the coming months.
