en.Wedoany.com Reported - Oracle has launched four AI-powered agent applications for its Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) module, designed to help enterprises automate inventory management, supplier screening, and manufacturing processes. These new tools target areas such as inventory planning, supplier qualification, production readiness, and kanban replenishment, aiming to replace repetitive manual tasks while enabling teams to identify issues earlier and accelerate response times.

Amid ongoing economic and operational uncertainty, supply chain leaders face pressure to improve service levels, control costs, and respond quickly to disruptions. S.Y. Shenoy, Senior Vice President of Oracle Fusion SCM Development, stated that with the new agent applications and inventory optimization capabilities, enterprises can identify problems earlier, prioritize actions, and make faster, more informed decisions across planning, procurement, and manufacturing processes.

All four new applications are designed to go beyond traditional AI assistants, automating daily tasks within existing business processes while retaining human involvement in decision-making steps that require judgment. The Inventory Planning Command Center helps teams improve inventory availability and respond quickly to stockouts; the Supplier Qualification Workspace aims to accelerate supplier onboarding while managing compliance requirements and reducing risk; the Production Readiness Workspace helps manufacturers identify potential issues before production begins, reducing setup errors and delays; and the Kanban Management Workspace focuses on replenishment, helping manufacturers balance shortages and excess inventory to maintain continuous production.

In addition to the agents, Oracle has introduced a new multi-echelon inventory optimization tool that recommends safety stock targets across multiple locations based on demand patterns and lead time variability. The tool also adds interactive inventory network visualization, providing planners with a unified view of inventory levels, service metrics, and supply chain relationships. Furthermore, the Inventory Optimization Advisor agent can identify inventory risks, explain factors affecting service levels, and recommend safety stock adjustments.

These new applications run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, leverage large language models, and operate within the security framework of Oracle Fusion applications. Oracle's goal is to transform daily planning, procurement, and manufacturing tasks from manual operations into automated processes, while allowing employees to intervene when necessary.
