en.Wedoany.com Reported - DHL Express Mexico has signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Economy of Guanajuato to support the state's micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), as well as entrepreneurs and artisans, in expanding their domestic and international markets through logistics discounts, professional training, and priority offers. The agreement is valid until December 31, 2026, and will focus on promoting companies under the "Marca Guanajuato" brand.

Under the collaboration, companies can participate in DHL Express's "PYMES Program," where new account holders can enjoy discounts of up to 80% on international shipping and up to 60% on domestic shipping. Additionally, MSMEs can receive a 20% discount when shipping from DHL physical stores within the state. Both parties will also conduct digital marketing campaigns to promote products bearing the "Marca Guanajuato" logo in domestic and international markets.

Claudia Cristina Villaseñor Aguilar, Minister of Economy of Guanajuato, stated that this cooperation aims to expand opportunities for entrepreneurs, artisans, and MSMEs. She noted that DHL's logistics support will enable Guanajuato's products to reach more destinations faster, more efficiently, and more competitively, helping to strengthen their growth and business consolidation.

Manuel Montes Bertín, Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at DHL Express Mexico, stated that Guanajuato, strategically located in central Mexico with a solid industrial leadership, is well-positioned to integrate local businesses into domestic and international value chains. He noted that this partnership will drive more competitive and sustainable economic growth in the state. The state maintains a strategic position through its road, rail, and air connectivity and boasts a diversified economy driving sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, agribusiness, commerce, and services. According to the 2024 Economic Census by Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), Guanajuato had 270,040 economic units in 2023, of which 95% were micro-enterprises, 4.7% were small and medium-sized enterprises, and only 0.4% were large companies.

Currently, DHL Express operates 43 service points in Guanajuato. The main international shipping destinations are the United States, Canada, China, Spain, Colombia, Germany, Italy, Japan, France, and the United Kingdom; domestic destinations primarily include the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Nuevo León, Querétaro, Puebla, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Coahuila, and Veracruz. Products with the highest shipping demand include apparel, footwear, components, confectionery, and medical devices, industries that can expand their commercial influence through this collaboration, enhancing the competitiveness of Guanajuato's industrial sector.
