India's Optiemus Partners with Quectel for Local Production of 5G and Other Cellular Modules

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) has entered into a manufacturing partnership with Quectel IoT Technologies PTE Ltd. to produce automotive, 5G, 4G, Cat-1, and other cellular module series at its manufacturing facility in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. These wireless communication modules can be applied in scenarios such as IoT, automotive, telecommunications, energy, smart mobility, industrial automation, telematics, and smart infrastructure.

Under the agreement, OEL will utilize its manufacturing facilities to produce Quectel's cellular modules, aiming to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities, enhance supply chain resilience, and shorten the time-to-market for next-generation wireless communication products. This partnership echoes the Indian government's "Make in India" and "Atmanirbhar Bharat" initiatives.

Quectel's wireless modules are used in connected vehicles, industrial systems, energy management, smart city infrastructure, and telecommunications networks. Through local production, the company plans to expand its presence in the Indian market while maintaining consistent manufacturing standards and scalable production capabilities.

Ashok Gupta, Chairman of the Optiemus Group, stated that the shared commitment is to expand advanced electronics manufacturing in India. The local production of Quectel's automotive and cellular modules will support the domestic electronics ecosystem and the growing demand for connectivity solutions in industries such as IoT, telecommunications, automotive, and energy.
