en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dimension News, June 29 – The first concrete pouring for Unit 8 of the 2×660MW combined heat and power (CHP) project at Heilongjiang Huadian Fulaerji Power Plant, undertaken by SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation, was successfully completed. Located in Fulaerji District, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, the project involves renovation and expansion on the original site, adopting a "replace small units with large ones" model. The new units will replace the existing six 200MW old units and are scheduled to be completed and put into operation before the 2028 heating season.
The total investment for the Fulaerji CHP project is approximately RMB 5.96 billion. Once operational, it will undertake the heating supply task for about 22.8 million square meters in downtown Qiqihar, helping to improve the stability and cleanliness of urban heating. In terms of ecological benefits, by replacing outdated units with efficient capacity, the project is expected to reduce annual emissions of dust by 441.42 tons, sulfur dioxide by 1,516.52 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 2,199.64 tons, positively contributing to air quality improvement in the urban area and surrounding regions.
Closely aligned with the national "dual carbon" strategic goals, this project is not only an engineering practice to optimize the regional energy structure but also an infrastructure project to ensure residential heating and improve the ecological environment. After commissioning, the project will provide energy support for the transformation and upgrading of Qiqihar and the old industrial base of Heilongjiang.
The project team from SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation adhered to the management philosophy of "planning for project execution and standards for work performance" during construction, promoting efficient project delivery. The successful first concrete pouring marks the entry into the main structure construction phase, laying the foundation for subsequent work.
