en.Wedoany.com Reported - Copper One Resources has commenced drilling the first AI-designed diamond drill core hole at the Majuba Hill copper-silver-gold project in Pershing County, Nevada, USA.
The hole, designed in collaboration between Copper One and Exploration Technologies (ExploreTech), marks the company's first test of AI-driven targeting as part of a 10,000-foot drilling program at the site. The hole is expected to reach a depth of approximately 2,500 feet (762 meters). The drilling target was selected using ExploreTech's AI platform, combined with Copper One's extensive technical database, including historical drilling, geophysical, and mapping records.
Copper One's objective is to prioritize underground targets, follow up on previous mineralized intersections, and expand the project's known copper, silver, and gold zones. The focus is on improving geological understanding and ultimately moving toward a potential initial Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). Prior to drilling, the company completed technical planning, site preparation, contractor coordination, and target area reviews.
According to the company, information from the new hole will help validate its geological model and assess underground opportunities at Majuba Hill. The current drilling campaign targets multiple objectives, including testing AI-generated targets, evaluating areas with step-out mineralization, and improving geological continuity in the region. The company emphasized that further exploration, technical studies, and analysis are still required before any MRE, and there is no guarantee that exploration will lead to the definition of project resources.
Copper One and ExploreTech are continuously evaluating the project's technical database through advanced modeling and AI-driven scenario planning. David Greenway, President and CEO of Copper One, stated that as AI accelerates the development of data centers, electrification infrastructure, and next-generation power systems, the need for secure domestic copper supply continues to grow. At Majuba Hill, the company is applying advanced AI-driven exploration tools to optimize targeting, increase geological confidence, and guide a rigorous drilling program aimed at expanding known mineralization.
The Majuba Hill property covers approximately 9,684 acres, located about 113 road miles southwest of Winnemucca, Nevada, and approximately 251 miles northeast of Reno, Nevada.
