en.Wedoany.com Reported - EnviTec Biogas has successfully secured projects with a total electrical output of approximately 16 megawatts in the biomass tender conducted by the Federal Network Agency. The company registered 19.6 megawatts of capacity in this tender round, of which 82% was awarded, while seven plants totaling 4.7 megawatts were unsuccessful. EnviTec currently operates 35.9 megawatts of motor output capacity in its majority-owned Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) areas.
This tender success was built on intensive preparatory work, including developing technical implementation plans for each plant, conducting quantitative and price calculations, verifying market master data register entries, determining performance ranges and bid prices, and submitting over 30 independent bid application documents before the April 1 deadline. The tender rules stipulate that only plants whose EEG funding period expires before December 31, 2029, are eligible to bid, and successful plants must complete construction and grid connection within 3.5 years of the award.
EnviTec's management stated that these awards enable part of the company's plant portfolio to be established on a new long-term remuneration basis, requiring targeted investments and retrofitting work, which will also ensure sufficient utilization in the service sector. The company plans to develop new application directions for its plants beyond the EEG funding mechanism, such as in the heating and transportation sectors. Management also noted that Germany needs to establish reliable framework conditions to support companies' continued operations in this field.
