en.Wedoany.com Reported - Deichmann Calzados and TW Logistics have inaugurated a new logistics center in Cabanillas del Campo, Guadalajara, aimed at optimizing the footwear retailer's supply chain and accelerating distribution to its 100 physical stores and online channels in Spain and Portugal.
The facility covers a total area of 20,500 square meters, with the first phase occupying 10,000 square meters, allowing for future expansion based on business needs. The center will centralize product receiving, storage, and distribution processes to improve inventory management, optimize goods flow, and shorten delivery times, especially in areas far from major distribution hubs.
During construction, the center adopted multiple energy efficiency and sustainability measures, including the use of green energy and systems to reduce environmental impact. Notably, plastic stretch film has been eliminated in pallet management, which is expected to prevent approximately 4,430 kilograms of plastic waste annually.
The launch of the new facility will create 14 local jobs.
Mateus de Souza, Managing Director of Deichmann Spain and Portugal, stated: "The new logistics center is a strategic step in our growth on the Iberian Peninsula. The partnership with TW Logistics allows us to support our upcoming expansion goals with a more efficient and flexible supply chain."
Alfredo Llonis, CEO of TW Logistics, noted: "At TW Logistics, we are committed to providing tailored solutions for each client. Our collaboration with Deichmann exemplifies this, enabling us to contribute our expertise, technology, and operational capabilities to drive a more efficient supply chain in Spain and Portugal."
