en.Wedoany.com Reported - The ventilation and safety tunnel of the Dazhuangli Pumped Storage Power Station broke through on June 29, opening a key passage for subsequent underground powerhouse construction, marking the completion of a major milestone for the core supporting project of the "two tunnels and one road" in the preparatory phase.

The ventilation and safety tunnel has a total length of 1,354.74 meters, primarily used for ventilation and smoke exhaust during the construction of the underground powerhouse cavern group, as well as for emergency evacuation of personnel and material transport. Construction began on August 6, 2025. Through the coordinated efforts of the construction unit, supervision team, and contractor, key issues such as the impact of alteration zones were resolved, and challenges including limited working space and overlapping multi-process operations were overcome. By optimizing the allocation of personnel and machinery, strictly implementing standardized construction procedures, and closely monitoring critical links such as excavation, support, and geological advance forecasting, the project ensured high-quality and stable progress.

The Dazhuangli Pumped Storage Power Station is a key pumped storage project under Shaanxi Province's "14th Five-Year Plan," classified as a Class I Large (1) project, with a total installed capacity of 2,100 MW and an annual designed power generation of 4.221 billion kWh. The breakthrough of the ventilation and safety tunnel will significantly enhance the construction support capability for the main underground powerhouse.
