en.Wedoany.com Reported - Richter Kran und Schwerlast GmbH of Leipzig, Germany, has purchased a second Liebherr LTM 1450 8.1 mobile crane to expand its heavy lifting capacity. The company's decision to invest again in this 450-ton crane is primarily based on the performance of its 85-meter telescopic boom and the positive operational experience gained with the first LTM 1450 8.1 in its fleet. Company owner Matthias Richter, along with crane operator Ronny Burde, traveled to Ehingen for the handover ceremony of the new equipment, which coincided with Burde's tenth anniversary of service with the company.
Matthias Richter stated that the crane performs excellently in daily operations and has a wide range of applications, covering complex tasks from industrial projects to energy and infrastructure sectors. Acquiring this unit allows the company to respond more flexibly to high-volume order demands when multiple projects run concurrently. Another key factor in this decision was the 85-meter telescopic boom equipped on the LTM 1450 8.1. Despite its size, the crane can be set up quickly and used flexibly. Richter emphasized that the combination of high load capacity, boom length, and rapid deployment provides significant advantages in daily operations.
In its initial period of service, the LTM 1450 8.1 has already performed several tasks, including installing tower cranes, substation work, dismantling wind turbines, and bridge lifts. In Beilrode, Saxony, the crane hoisted battery storage units weighing 47 tons each for a solar park covering approximately 100 hectares. Subsequently, during an operation in Lemgo, the crane precisely installed a 32-ton cover onto a large thermal storage tank at a hook height of 74 meters.
Richter Kran und Schwerlast GmbH employs around 75 people and operates in both the German and international markets, offering crane rental, heavy and special transport, and heavy lifting installation services. The company's mobile crane fleet relies entirely on Liebherr products and currently consists of 22 cranes, ranging in capacity from 60 to 750 tons, supplemented by one MK mobile construction crane and one LTR 1100 telescopic crawler crane. Richter stated that the company values equipment quality and reliable service, receiving strong support from sales through after-sales.
On a personnel level, Richter GmbH demonstrates high continuity. In addition to the owner, crane operator Ronny Burde also attended the handover ceremony for the new mobile crane in Ehingen. As the company's first employee, Burde participated in the handover of the company's first new Liebherr crane (model LTF 1060) in 2016. Ten years later, he received another new mobile crane, the LTM 1450 8.1, a process symbolizing long-term service, company continuity, and a solid partnership.
