en.Wedoany.com Reported - AFRY is providing owner's engineer services to Linglingay Power Corporation (a project company under Singapore's HEXA Renewables), assisting in the development of a 70 MWac / 78 MWp ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power plant in Gamu, Isabela Province, Philippines.
Located on a 76-hectare site in Barangay Linglingay, Gamu, Isabela Province, the solar power plant will be connected to the Luzon grid via a 1.2-kilometer double-circuit transmission line directly linking to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) Gamu 69 kV switching station.
Once operational, the 70 MWac facility will support the Philippines' national renewable energy targets while enhancing grid reliability in Northern Luzon, one of the country's fastest-growing regions in terms of energy demand.
AFRY initially served as a technical advisor during the asset acquisition's technical due diligence phase. Following the transaction's completion, Linglingay Power Corporation appointed AFRY as the owner's engineer for the pre-construction phase of the project.
AFRY's scope of work during the pre-construction phase includes reviewing the client's design proposals and site data, optimizing the layout of the 76-hectare site, preparing owner's requirements and minimum technical specifications for the EPC tender, developing complete tender documents, and conducting comprehensive tender management.
After the EPC contractor was selected, AFRY continued as the owner's engineer during the construction phase, providing design reviews, full-time site supervision and construction monitoring, as well as support during testing, commissioning, and handover.
This project strengthens AFRY's growing portfolio in Southeast Asia and solidifies its position as a technical advisor for solar and grid-connected renewable energy assets.
Petteri Härkki, Head of Renewable Energy and Energy Storage at AFRY, stated that the team is proud to support Linglingay Power Corporation and HEXA Renewables in developing this strategic solar asset. The company's continued involvement during both the pre-construction and construction phases reflects its commitment to delivering high-quality, future-ready renewable energy projects in the Philippines.
