en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) supplier Certas Energy has expanded its depot network to 32 sites, marking five years of sustained investment; in the 12 months ending March 2026, Certas Energy delivered over 188 million liters of HVO, a 24.6% increase from the previous period.

This expansion adds Cambridge, Holton Heath, Ipswich, and Oban as the latest supply points. Certas Energy initially trialed HVO for fleets at its Immingham and Ellesmere Port depots five years ago, with results leading to the introduction of HVO at five hub depots a year later.

Cathy Bailey, Energy Transition Manager at Certas Energy, stated that HVO is part of a long-term commitment to helping businesses achieve their ESG goals. She noted that the net-zero discussion has evolved, and businesses need solutions that are commercially, operationally, and at-scale viable, with HVO playing a key role. Expanding the depot network makes HVO more accessible to local communities, improving air quality through reduced emissions compared to standard diesel. Bailey emphasized that amid uncertainty in energy prices, regulations, and supply chains, HVO offers a stable option for immediate emission reductions, and investing in HVO allows customers to take action now while the broader energy transition continues.
