en.Wedoany.com Reported - MasOrange announced that its "Only 5G Rural Plan" has been 100% completed within the stipulated timeframe, enabling 1,461 towns in Spain with populations under 10,000 to benefit from 5G SA coverage.

The operator led the implementation of the project in the autonomous communities of Galicia, Asturias, and Cantabria, as well as in the provinces of Salamanca, Zamora, León, Palencia, and Cáceres. Under the plan, the company upgraded over 2,800 nodes to 5G SA, 162 of which were in areas previously without any operator coverage. The project benefited from the support of the "Unique 5G Active Network Deployment Assistance Plan."

Josep María Rabés, Director of Mobile Access at MasOrange, stated that the scale of this deployment posed unprecedented technical challenges, bringing the latest generation of 5G SA connectivity to particularly demanding environments, thereby contributing to narrowing the digital divide in Spain. Achieving the goal was made possible through rigorous planning and execution, as well as close collaboration with public administrations and partner companies. This milestone demonstrates the company's ability to lead complex projects and generate a tangible impact on regions.
