en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 3, German energy storage developer Green Flexibility advanced its 750MW/3GWh battery energy storage project portfolio, acquiring related project interests from local developer Kajoni. The energy storage portfolio includes multiple large-scale battery energy storage systems, which will proceed with high-voltage grid connection, project maturity assessment, and construction readiness.

Under the transaction arrangement, Kajoni will continue developing the energy storage portfolio for Green Flexibility until the projects reach the construction-ready stage. The projects are currently participating in Germany's high-voltage grid connection maturity assessment process, which is used by grid operators to allocate grid connection capacity for large-scale projects. Developers must bear processing fees, deposits, and other upfront capital requirements before obtaining connection commitments.

Green Flexibility will provide funding for the energy storage portfolio's participation in the grid connection assessment. If the projects secure grid connection commitments, Kajoni will continue development work; once the projects reach the construction-ready stage, Green Flexibility will be responsible for construction, operation, and commercial optimization. The advancement of this energy storage portfolio will add reserve capacity to Germany's utility-scale battery energy storage systems, with subsequent progress still dependent on grid connection, development procedures, and construction arrangements.
