en.Wedoany.com Reported - Line Yahoo (LY) unveiled the development environment for "Agent i," a next-generation generative AI agent for daily life, and announced its "AX (AI Transformation)" promotion strategy to drive organizational transformation centered on AI at the technology conference "TechBus 2026" held on the 29th of last month.

The conference detailed the technical foundation, including "Agent Builder," a tool that enables non-specialists to build an AI agent in a single day. Additionally, Line Yahoo shared the results of introducing AI from the development planning stage, with 20% of the code for large-scale company-wide systems written by AI over the past year, and presented a future five-phase roadmap.

The conference opened with keynote speeches by Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Park Eui-bin and CTO & Head of Domain AI CBU/AI Strategy Planning Group, Namiki Ryota. Engineers from global group companies participated in a total of 15 sessions discussing AI and core technologies. The generative AI agent "Agent i," a core highlight of the keynote, has been supporting users in 22 daily life domains, including shopping, outings, and food recipes, since its launch in April this year. Line Yahoo stated that by connecting multiple AI agents within its services, it plans to evolve the AI experience to a stage where necessary information is preemptively presented before users even search.

To stably support such services, Line Yahoo developed "Agent Builder," enabling non-specialist engineers to build an AI agent in a single day, continuously promoting the "democratization of agent development." Simultaneously, by providing solutions that easily connect AI agents to internal company data and APIs, and enable tracking and management, development speed, security, and governance are ensured. Furthermore, through a "long-term memory" function that selectively saves conversation history, and a "memory integration" function that links usage data from Line and Yahoo Japan services in real-time, the company plans to achieve a highly personalized environment that provides optimal answers without requiring separate prompts.

The conference also explained the necessity and strategic execution roadmap for "company-wide AX," which evolves the organization itself into an AI hub. Line Yahoo, which operates over 100 services and has a history of more than 30 years, has formulated a five-phase plan to systematically promote AX. It is converting internal company systems, data, and employee capabilities to be AI-centric, and introducing AI throughout the entire development process. Particular emphasis is placed on AX in the planning and design stages before coding, structuring internal company documents into forms easily understood by AI, and visualizing relationships between services.

Despite being a large-scale, long-running system, AI-written code accounted for 20% of the total over the past year.

Line Yahoo stated that, based on its mission "WOW OUR Users!" to deliver experiences beyond user expectations, it will continue to accelerate AI service development and talent cultivation. By enhancing productivity not only at the individual level but also at the organizational and service levels, it aims to further accelerate AX.
