Hambling noted that the acquisition allows IMG to immediately enter one of the world's largest mature security markets through the ADT brand, which he described as the most respected and longest-established brand in that market. IMG had previously acquired ADT's operations in Australia and New Zealand, and Hambling said the UK acquisition enables IMG to apply technologies and operational practices developed in Australia to a larger residential security portfolio.

IMG has built a video surveillance platform designed to help detect and prevent criminal activity before or during incidents, collaborating with police when necessary.

Regarding financial impact, Hambling stated that at the simplest level, the acquisition increases earnings per share by 40% and makes IMG a company with free cash flow before interest and taxes exceeding $100 million. Hambling also emphasized that 72% of the combined business will consist of recurring revenue, while ADT's UK business has a recurring revenue ratio of 92%.
