en.Wedoany.com Reported - The hollow core slabs (Dalles Alvéolées) from French precast concrete manufacturer KP1 have received a Class A ATEx technical assessment (No. 3552_V1) from the French Scientific and Technical Center for Building (CSTB), verifying that the product can withstand rolling loads from trucks and forklifts.

This assessment constitutes a construction advantage for logistics and industrial buildings, particularly for the booming vertical logistics platforms. KP1 states that it is currently the only industrial manufacturer to have obtained such a technical assessment (ATEx) for rolling load applicability, which simultaneously guarantees the suitability of KP1 hollow core slabs under rolling loads, as well as the associated design, calculation, and dimensioning methods. This innovation is based on more precise calculation methods that integrate specific verifications related to rolling loads. KP1 hollow core slabs can withstand rolling loads of up to 11.2 tons per axle, exceeding the requirements of the current French DTU 23.2 standard.

These precast slabs are characterized by hollow cores running their full length, making them twice as light as solid concrete slabs and occupying less space. They also reduce the number of columns and internal vertical supports. This optimized design, combined with prestressed concrete technology, facilitates material savings and helps reduce the carbon footprint of each building. In terms of construction efficiency, KP1 hollow core slabs require no shoring, feature integrated lifting loops, and can have guardrail devices integrated at the factory upon request, allowing up to 500 square meters of slabs to be laid per day. Precast production ensures consistent industrial quality, reliable performance, and precise dimensions. All KP1 hollow core slabs are NF certified, confirming compliance with NF 384 standards and requirements, and guaranteeing stable performance and product quality.

KP1 hollow core slabs are available in two series: the lightweight series (DSL) in six heights: 16 cm, 20 cm, 24 cm, 27 cm, 32 cm, and 40 cm; and the reinforced series (DSR) in four thicknesses: 20 cm, 27 cm, 28 cm, and 36 cm. Lengths are tailored to the specific needs of each project. The products are manufactured at factories in Pujaut (30), Ciel (71), Poincy (77), and Graulhet (81), France, and delivered directly to construction sites. These products are particularly suitable for industrial buildings, commercial buildings, office buildings, and parking lots, and can be supplied throughout mainland France without restrictions in seismic zones.
