The establishment of the Midland warehouse fills this gap, allowing distributor partners to enjoy local pickup and same-day cut-to-length services on core product lines, while maintaining DWC's company-wide policy of no cutting fees, no spool fees, and no minimum order quantities.
Midland's pickup inventory includes aluminum wire, portable cords, instrumentation cables, and tray cables. DWC's full product range, including classified cables, medium-voltage cables (5kV–35kV), fire alarm cables, audio or security cables, and thermocouple wire, remains available to Midland-area distributors through the DWC distribution network and the FastQuote customer portal, with 24/7 emergency service.
DWC CEO Travis Williams stated that the Midland facility places inventory directly in front of distributors, enabling orders that previously took two days to be picked up from the counter the same afternoon. He believes this is how localized service should work—the company is not chasing the market but is already embedded in it, closer to the distributors who have been purchasing long-term.
Continued growth in the Permian Basin, spanning midstream processing, data center construction, and grid infrastructure, is driving demand for specialty wire and cable. The Midland warehouse provides local electrical distributors with a supply that keeps pace with demand.
This facility is the latest step in DWC's rapid expansion. Over the past two years, the company has more than doubled its distribution capacity and continues to add locations, bringing its speed and service closer to customers. DWC sells exclusively through wholesale electrical distributors and does not sell directly to contractors or end users.
