The event focused on strategies to address the EU steel tariff rate quota (TRQ) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), aiming to enhance customer confidence.

In response to the newly implemented EU steel tariff rate quota effective from July, Hyundai Steel detailed its countermeasures. The company stated that even amid heightened trade regulatory risks, it will ensure supply stability by prioritizing the allocation of major production volumes to customers. Additionally, it showcased its carbon information management system related to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, which can smoothly provide carbon emission data required by the global automotive industry, demonstrating a well-established response system.
Hyundai Steel also highlighted its carbon-reduced steel sheet mass production system based on the world's first "electric arc furnace-blast furnace combined process" and promoted the technical advantages of high value-added products such as third-generation automotive steel sheets. An official stated that the event helped promote the company's global technological competitiveness and trade regulation response capabilities, and plans to continue expanding engagement with customers in key global markets.
