Relying on the National Major Science and Technology Project for Industrial Machine Tools and the Hubei Province Industrial Machine Tool Strategic Highland Construction Project, Huazhong CNC, in collaboration with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, developed the world's first new-generation intelligent CNC system embedded with an AI chip and an AI large model—the Huazhong 10. This system establishes a core technical architecture of "one intelligent base, two digital mainlines, and three intelligent application subsystems." The intelligent base integrates AI chips and self-developed intelligent sensor modules on the hardware platform, and deploys large language models such as DeepSeek and Zhipu Qingyan on the software platform. The digital mainlines cover the entire lifecycle of the machine tool, while the process mainline runs through the entire workflow of part processing, providing comprehensive data and knowledge support for intelligent CNC machine tools. Leveraging self-analysis and self-learning capabilities, the system revolves around three subsystems—process optimization, precision enhancement, and health assurance—to achieve application scenarios such as intelligent conversational programming, intelligent human-machine interaction, intelligent process parameter matching, and intelligent fault diagnosis.
The Huazhong 8 full-digital bus high-end CNC system embodies the core research achievements of the National Major Science and Technology Project, breaking through key technologies such as open system platforms, high-speed field buses, high-speed and high-precision control, multi-axis and multi-channel coordination, high-precision synchronous control, high-reliability design, and industrial big data interconnection communication key technologies, driving the generational leap of China's CNC systems from "analog and pulse-based" to "bus-based and fully digital," with overall performance reaching international mainstream levels. This system was awarded the title of "National Manufacturing Single Champion Product" in 2025.
