en.Wedoany.com Reported - Japan's Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ryosei Akazawa, stated that the export restrictions cover not only direct supplies to Russia but also indirect channels such as procurement systems through third countries and ship-to-ship transfers at sea.

Akazawa's remarks came amid reports in Japan on Friday that Russia was preparing to import a shipment of Japanese aviation fuel through trade intermediaries.

Akazawa emphasized that the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is actively combating sanctions evasion, including measures to enhance corporate compliance awareness, issue warnings, and share data with international and domestic regulatory agencies. Japan also stated that it will continue to closely cooperate with other countries to strengthen export controls in response to changes in the international situation.
