en.Wedoany.com Reported - Octopus Energy Generation has reached £8.5 billion in assets under management, following a year of rapid expansion in the global renewable energy market.
The fund management team currently operates a portfolio of 5.7 GW, encompassing over 400 sites across 21 countries, including solar, onshore and offshore wind, and battery storage. These assets collectively generate enough electricity to power more than 2.8 million homes annually.
In the past six months alone, the company has deployed £930 million into global clean energy projects, supporting the continued growth of its international pipeline.
The announcement also includes Octopus being appointed as the investment manager for Renewable Power Capital's 1 GW European portfolio, which covers operational and construction-stage assets, as well as a broader development pipeline.
The group's flagship fund, Sky fund, has nearly reached £3 billion in committed capital, contributing to its broader range of investment products focused on renewable infrastructure.
Since 2021, Octopus Energy Generation's managed renewable assets have nearly tripled, and it has added nine new institutional fund mandates from pension plans, insurance companies, and private wealth investors.
